Renee Norris, STAND’s Artistic Director, expressed immense pride in the students, stating, “Our team grew in technique, confidence, and ensemble, stepping up as leaders and caring for one another. That spirit carried through to California, where they bonded with international teams, supporting fellow performers with kindness and enthusiasm. Cameron Byerly’s exceptional vision in cutting, staging, and choreography, paired with Ashley Grether’s masterful music direction, set the foundation for our performers to shine. We’re incredibly grateful to our stage manager and all-around ‘medic momma’ Seret Gomez-Ryan, as well as Faith Hilsinger, whose dream for our students made this trip possible. I was honored to contribute as an acting coach and witness the magic this team created together. Thank you to Kyla Mikusek for joining us as a super mom.”
