ABOUT STAND
History
STAND Performing Arts Ministry, formerly KidStand, is a non-profit organization formed in 2005, driven by a passion for the performing arts and community empowerment. Due to many performance inquiries from the community, the dedicated team was inspired to create the STAND performance group, fostering a space for training teens for performance outreach. In 2010, STAND took a meaningful step forward by starting a dedicated program to train children and teenagers in various forms of art, including dance, vocals, and theatre, while also teaching them important lessons in service and leadership through involvement in STAND events. This initiative has proven to be pivotal in shaping young artists and instilling in them a sense of purpose and belonging.
STAND Ministries has had the immense privilege of performing in a variety of school districts and Christian events, including notable gatherings such as KLTY’s Celebrate Freedom in Dallas and Atlanta, Creation Fest West, and the well-renowned T.D. Jakes Megafest. Additionally, we have had the opportunity to serve esteemed churches such as The Potter’s House, Gateway Church, and Oak Cliff Bible Church. Our outreach efforts were further enriched through partnerships with powerful Evangelists like Andrew Palau and Reid Saunders, allowing us to minister in countries such as Uganda, Haiti, Nepal, and Honduras. As we look to the future, God is undeniably expanding STAND'S vision in remarkable ways.
Today, STAND has transformed into an established community theatre and training program. We take pride in writing original, biblical, musicals alongside our talented staff and educators, while also showcasing a diverse season of theatre favorites selected from around the country. Our commitment to fostering artistic talent and providing meaningful experiences has led us to become a proud member of the Live Theatre League of Tarrant County, alongside esteemed theatres such as Stage West, Casa Mañana, and Jubilee Theatre.
Through this evolution, STAND continues to empower individuals to express their creativity, strengthen their skills, and collaborate with others who are passionate about the performing arts. We invite members of our community to join us on this journey, where every performance is an opportunity to give God glory. With our focus on innovation and personal growth, we ensure that each artist can fully realize and reflect their God-given purpose.

Our mission is to empower the community to be all they are created to be through the Performing Arts.
Our vision is to cultivate a community of artists who stand up in their faith, stand strong through life's challenges, and stand out by using their gifts to reflect God's purpose.
Our philosophy is to equip the community by providing opportunities to discover and develop their unique gifts. We are committed to creating an environment where talents are nurtured, potential is realized, and each individual can fully embrace their God-given purpose.
Board
Jessie Beebe – President and Founder of Stand who graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Theatre. Jessie makes decisions for Stand with the help of her board and staff and maintains the vision that she first had in 2005.
Renee Norris – Renee is a Theatre Director at Haltom High where she has directed musicals and plays for 26 years. Renee brings her extensive knowledge of theatres and productions to help build Stand as a welcoming and professionally functioning artistic community.
Matt Oxley – Pastor of The Creek church with decades of pastoral experience. He brings his extensive ministry leadership advice as well as spiritual guidance.
Heather Oxley – The Assimilation Pastor for The Creek Church. Heather has also been the Director of Admissions at a local Christian School bringing ministry, education knowledge, and advice. Heather also has an extensive background in business which is an amazing benefit to Stand Ministries.
